If you're a gamer, you've probably played a 'Crash Bandicoot' game at least once in your lifetime. Since the last game in the main series came out in 2008, we're due for a new entry soon. On March 10, it was reported that a brand new entry in the 'Crash' series could be released for PlayStation and Xbox consoles as well as Nintendo's Wii U system.
As of right now, the website for the game is down, but a screenshot was taken right before the website stopped working. The screenshot is expected to be legit as it follows the same design scheme for past 'Bandicoot' announcements. The screenshot features a pair of cartoon eyes with the slogan "He's Back!" at the bottom. This could suggest that we may be receiving a total reboot of the series since the last 'Bandicoot' game came out 5 years ago.
The game, like all of the past 'Bandicoot' games, will be published by Activision. The developing team will be Vicarious Visions who developed 3 of the older 'Bandicoot' games from 2002 - 2004. Since this company is back to developing 'Bandicoot' games, this also makes a total reboot of the series a slight possibility.
Anyways, most games in the series have been targeted towards younger players and this game could very well follow the same technique that has worked in the past. The game could be a reboot, but since the slogan on the website says that he's back gives the clue that it's a new entry in the series as a whole rather than a remake. No other info has been confirmed about the new 'Crash Bandicoot' game as of now, but expect to hear much more about the game in the near future.
