The second installment in the "Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus?" video series has been released by Irrational Games today. The first "Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus?" video, gives is a brief history of Columbia's technological feats of 1893, discusses how the city of Columbia secedes from the country, and how the city eventually "floats away". The first video can be seen HERE.
"Columbia: A Modern Day Icarus? Part 2" dives into the rumors that circulated after Columbia floated away. Songbird was all but a fable that surrounded the country in whispers of rumors and in children's nursery rhymes. It was all shrugged off until footage dated 1912 emerged of a shadowed figure flying around in the sky and shooting a type of laser from it's eyes.
The trailer also touches on the theory that Songbird's purpose was to keep something locked away in the city of Columbia. It then talks about the "Lamb of Columbia", which is a child revered by all. Most importantly, it asks the question that plaques the masses, "What was so threatening about this child that it required such a monstrous guardian?"

I truly love the video installments. If you remember, they released the Heavy Hitters series of trailers in which each highlighted a different heavy enemy from BioShock Infinite, including The Boys of Silence, Siren, Handy Man, and Motorized Patriot.
For those of us who have been impatiently awaiting the launch of BioShock Infinite, Irrational Games has also released a teaser for a new trailer for the game today. In the teaser trailer for the trailer (yes, I meant to say, "teaser trailer for the trailer"), we get a tiny glimpse of what we can prepare our eyes and souls for when the full trailer releases on Tuesday, February 19th.
The trailer, titled "Lamb of Columbia", seems like it will shed even more light on Elizabeth and enhance upon the trailer above.
