Iroquois forward continues to improve

Jackson is looking for offers.

Iroquois' forward Jermaine Jackson had a breakout season in 2009-2010. The 6-foot-4 senior-to-be averaged 25 points a game, as he took home 6th Region Player of the Year honors. Now he's looking for a place to play college basketball. I caught up with Jackson recently at an AAU event caught up with Jackson.

Jackson helped lead the Raiders to 1 22-9 record this past season. They made it all the way to the 6th Region championship game but lost to Butler, 60-63, in overtime.

"I'm working on some stuff that I couldn't do last year," Jackson said. "This up-coming season will be my last and my goal is to make it to a the state tournament and win a championship."

The recruiting process has been slow so far but things should heat up this summer.

"Right now I'm getting letters from I.U.P.U.I and Missouri State," Jackson said. "No offers right now, just letters."

Jackson will be playing summer for Royal Family on the AAU circuit.
