Iron man 3 is ready to set the summer off on the right track. May 3rd is the special day that will hold the third installment to the Iron Man series, though fourth on screen appearance (The Avengers) for Tony Stark.

Iron Man 3 returns Robert Downey Jr. as the rich playboy saving the world from threats, yet this outing showcases his struggles to keep his hero talents separate from his personal affairs. Gwyneth Paltrow returns to Tony's side as Pepper Potts while Guy Pierce stirs the pot as Aldrich Killian. Don Cheadle returns as James 'Rhodey' Rhodes a.k.a. War Machine and potentially Iron Patriot, though it's unsure whether he would don the name of such hero. New to the cast alongside Pierce is Rebecca Hall who fills the role as Maya Hansen, an old colleague of Tony Stark.
The sinister force at work against Stark and Company is The Mandarin portrayed by the brilliant Ben Kingsley. The Mandarin preps an all out war against not only Iron Man, but has the U.S. Government concerned with stopping the maniacal prowess threatening the world.
Despite Jon Favreau exiting the director chair, he will continue to serve Stark as Happy Hogan who added quite the humorous flair to the second Iron Man feature. Now directing the action of Iron Man 3 is Shane Black, famous for writing 'Lethal Weapon', 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang', and now 'Iron Man 3'. His only previous directing role had been his own 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang'. Judging from the latest trailer, watch here, Mr. Black does not miss a beat and captures all of the amazing action perfectly!
