A new "Iron Man 3" poster has been revealed and it raises the stakes for the film. This new "Iron Man 3" poster depicts a struggling Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) amid a swarm of other metal men. According to a report from Yahoo! on Wednesday (Feb. 27), this could give a big hint as to where the movie will head.
The third "Iron Man" film will hit theaters on May 3 and it is already expected to be one of the big hits of the summer. The poster is really a ploy to get the internet buzzing about the film again, which in itself is a brilliant strategy from Marvel. The interest level for the film went through the roof after the exciting Super Bowl trailer was released and now there is going to be a full-length version getting released on March 5.
The first two films in this series passed $300 million in U.S. box office receipts and the success of "The Avengers" showed that the shelf life of this particular character just keeps getting extended. While many fans have thought that this might be the final stand-alone move for Robert Downey Jr. and the Iron Man character, success at the box office could certainly lead to a fourth installment.
This new "Iron Man 3" poster probably won't be the last one that Marvel puts out before the film gets a wide release, but it is certainly causing a lot of buzz again.
