According to ComicBook.com on March 13, Marvel made the public aware through the "Iron Man 3" website that Stephanie Szostak's part as Ellen Brandt in the film has been confirmed. Production notes posted on the site gave a listing of actors and the roles they would be playing in the movie.
There had been even rumors and speculation on to what character Szostak would be playing. Fans thought it would either be Wasp or Scarlett Witch, but those rumors have been cast asunder.
Ellen Brandt is a character in the Marvel universe that was an A.I.M. agent during the super soldier serum project. She was also married to S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Ted Sallis who is Man-Thing and thus ties him to the Marvel cinematic universe.
It's amazing how the big wigs of this franchise is able to subtlety get these tie-ins to come up in the movies, except with its own little twist.
One may recognize Szostak from the comedy "Dinner with Schmuks"
"Iron Man 3" is scheduled to be released in less than a couple of months on May 3.
