Irish Mist Recipe

Another great holiday hot tea drink recipe, thanks to, "A Gourmet's Guide to Coffee & Tea" by Lesley Mackley.

Irish Mist

1 1/4 cups freshly made Irish Breakfast tea

1/3 cup Irish whiskey

Honey to taste

1/4 cup whipping cream

Grated nutmeg for sprinkling

Heat tea and whiskey in a saucepan until hot but not boiling. Stir in honey. Pour into small cups. Slowly and carefully pour 1 tablespoon of whipping cream over back of a teaspoon into each cup, so that it floats on top. Sprinkle with grated nutmeg.

Makes 4 servings.
