Ireland in Annapolis

The St. Patrick's Day parade in Annapolis Maryland is not just a parade but also a 5K run. It is all tied into one full day of fun. But let me tell you it is not just something to go and stand by on a curbside. There is mobs and mobs of people in green as there is well over 500 people in the crowd. Everyone is there to celebrate the Irish culture. It is a day full of fun and craziness. There are local bands, and schools, and local bars that participate. St. Patrick's Day is known as a day for celebration and there is nothing short of that in Annapolis Maryland. The biggest downfall with this event is the parking situation, there really is no good place to park. So bring some good walking shoes because there is at least a 2 mile walk for anyone that drives in to this chaos. It is so fun to see all of the decorations, the people, the floats, and everything else that goes into this day. All of the restaurants and bars are completely decked out waiting for the after party. This is one true day of drinking and partying. It also goes to Ocean City Maryland as well as Gaithersburg. So please check the dates out of the parade and 5K if you want get involved with some Irish culture!
