Iran is not threatening to attack the US pre-emptively like ABC news says

Is Iran is threatening a “pre-emptive attack”, well not exactly. The closest we found was a statement by a senior Iranian military commander who basically said that Tehran “would use every possible means in response to potential enemy aggressions.”

That is a far cry from threatening a pre-emptive military strike against anyone.

The Deputy Head of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Logistic and Industrial Research General Mohammad Hejazi did say that Iran's latest strategy to embark on posing threats in response to enemy threats, and explained that the strategy means "we will no more wait to see enemy action against us.”

This however does not necessarily mean that Iran is threatening to attack pre-emptively, like some mainstream media sources are reporting (see: “Iran Says Will Strike Its Foes Pre-Emptively”http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/iran-nuke-inspectors-visit-sites-15758924 .

"Its clear the entertainment based ABC News and NPR misreported the facts in this case", said Dwight Young of Charlotte. "Iran however is threatening to defend itself against an attack", he said.

WHAT NUKES?

The United States accuse Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, while at the same time they have never presented any corroborative document to substantiate their allegations.

Both Washington and Tel Aviv possess advanced weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear warheads. Israel possess hundreds of nukes, the US tens of thousands. Iran has repeatedly said it does not have a nuclear weapon?

“It’s like accusing a naked man with his arms raised above his head of having a gun”, said Ted White of Charlotte, N.C. “Where is the smoking gun evidence?”, he said.

General Hejazi seems to be reiterating what the Ayatollah said back in November 10th of last year

When the Ayatollah Khamenei enemies about Iran's tough response to any aggression or even threat, stressing that the country would respond with full force to any attack.

"Iran is not a nation to sit still and just observe threats from fragile materialist powers which are being eaten by worms from inside," Ayatollah Khamenei told students at a Tehran military college.

HELL TO PAY

"Anyone who harbors any thought of invading the Islamic Republic of Iran - or even if the thought crosses their mind - should be prepared to receive strong blows and the steel fists of the military, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and the Basij (volunteer) force, backed by the entire Iranian nation," he said.

"Iran will respond with full force to any aggression or even threats in a way that it will demolish the aggressors from within," he added.

In the meantime Iran is preparing for an all out defense of their nation against a anticipated pre-emptive attack by the US.

Iran's air defense force assessed the preparedness and performance of its air defense artillery and mid-range missile systems against low-altitude aerial threats during the military drills along the country's coastal waters in the Persian Gulf.

The US has been threatening and debating for almost 11 months now. The fear of a pre-emptive attack by the US is not entirely unfounded, given the fact that the US has moved two aircraft carrier battle groups to the region. If this isn’t a threat I don’t know what is?

“The US is the one causing all the problems, by waging economic war in the form of sanctions against Iran”, says Hara Osborne of Charlotte, N.C. “Yet when Iran says it will no longer sell oil to Europe oil prices spike, causing gas to jump 30 cents in 30 days” he said. Osborne added that as far as he can see, the US is the one responsible for the gas price spike not Iran.

We tried unsuccessful to call Iran and speak to General Mohammad Hejazi by telephone to confirm this supposed threat.
