Wednesday, Ira Curry brought in her winning Mega Millions ticket and claimed her share of the jackpot; her ticket, after taxes is worth $120 million. Curry heard the numbers announced on the radio and then just to be sure…she called her daughter at home and asked her to re-check the numbers for her. She had all the winning numbers and the Mega Ball number. Curry is one of two ticket holders who had all of the winning numbers for Tuesday night’s jackpot. This is the second largest lottery jackpot ever, according to ABC News.

The overall Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday night's drawing was $636 million and Curry will get the money in the next 1-2 weeks, according to lottery officials. Curry purchased her ticket in Georgia and claimed her winnings about 12 hours later, along with her entire family. She chose the numbers herself with the birthdays of some of their close relatives. The family lives just outside of Atlanta. The family told lottery officials that they plan to do a lot of traveling over the next few years. Lottery officials said that the family was at their headquarters for so long, they were not sure if Curry ever made it to work on Wednesday.
The other Mega Millions winning ticket was sold in San Jose, California and a winner has yet to come forward.
