iPhone release date: Although talks of the long awaited iPhone 5S coming out this month have been rumored for weeks, a leaked Apple employee calendar may have confirmed the iPhone 5S’ arrival for this Sept. 20. According to the Inquisitr this Sunday, Sept. 1, the Apple iPhone 5S has been getting geared up by Apple for a long time, and a variety of new features — including a trade-in program for old smartphones — may be on the way.
An iPhone release date of Sept. 20 has most recently been set after an Apple employee allegedly let slip on his calendar a “confirmed” date of arrival or the hotly anticipated smartphone. We tech fans know that the official unveiling of the Apple iPhone 5S will be coming this Sept. 10 as part of a special Apple program event, so it makes sense for the newest iPhone to be coming out in less than two weeks following the big reveal.
The employee’s calendar had the iPhone release date marked as Sept. 20 for the 5S, which is said to be coming later this month … “because it limits the amount of time AppleCare employees are allowed to take off from the 15 through the 28 of Sept.”
What makes this 5S rumor all the more likely is that the time slot coincidentally (or not) also matches with blackout dates listed on the employee calendar vacation hours, one that is being scheduled by well known carriers like T-Mobile.
Some new features and options to enjoy when the iPhone 5S finally is made public here in the U.S. In addition to interesting new apps like the Pressy smartphone, Apple will be upgrading its lineup to the new iOS 7 interface with an enhanced retina display, a faster processor, greater wireless networking capabilities, and even a cheaper option on the iPhone line (a plastic version, say early reports). Fingerprint detection security options have also been rumored to be put into place.
