It is expected that Apple will hold an event on Oct. 22 to reveal changes to the traditional iPad, as well as the iPad mini. The iPad rumors about the upcoming changes indicate the regular unit will likely be thinner than previous versions, and that the screen will will slightly larger though the overall size of the unit likely remains the same.
There are also iPad rumors that the TouchID fingerprint technology will be incorporated into both the large and mini units. So far it doesn't appear there will be major changes to the units, though the regular unit is likely going to use the new A7 chip that is in the iPhone 5s.
Will new models also have the M7 motion sensor chip? That much is unknown at this point. Most experts do expect the camera to be upgraded in both the large and mini versions. It seems there may be new color choices when upgraded versions are released, following the path of the iPhone 5s.
Will these latest iPad rumors prove to be accurate? Apple fans will be anxious to find out, and it seems all is likely to be confirmed on Oct. 22.
