iPad rumors are here again, and the latest sources near Apple are hinting to eager fans several new expectations and features, including a thinner and sleeker design. The CS Monitor reports this Wednesday, Oct. 9, that although there have been hushed talks of a fall iPad special sometime this month for weeks now, the rumors seem to at last confirm a new iPad grouping set for this Oct. 22.
The iPad rumors are leaving eager iPad users with many expectations, many of which remain a mystery at this time, but Touch ID features, and a lighter and thinner design are very likely possibilities. According to AllThingsD, the new iPads are scheduled to be debuted here in the U.S. this Oct. 22, which is only a couple of weeks away.
Apple insiders are saying that the special event will be only an invitation-only program, and in the event, might possibly release “a breakthrough fifth generation iPad, as well as a second generation iPad mini on top of a Mac Pro / OS X Mavericks operating system,” noted the report. Apple has not formally commented on this invitation-only iPad event, but that only has eager tech experts and fans speculate even more about upcoming features surrounding the new iPad rumors.
What some of these expectations entail? Well, a sleeker and thinner design, as well as a significantly lighter structure, are not far-off ideas. A fingerprint scanner is also under consideration to be enabled. Via some recently leaked videos and photos, the full-sized iPad is now going to weigh something comparable to the modern iPad Mini, showcasing a thinner surface width, too. A lightning fast 64-bit A7 processor have also been rumored in the leaks, including new color options with an updated eight-mega pixel camera.
Retina displays are also in alleged talks for the smaller and sleeker Mini, though that may take some time before any rollouts of the product actually go into effect. As for the fingerprint scanner and linked Touch ID technology? iPad rumors do hint yes, but again no confirmation on this eager anticipation yet, either. We will simply have to stay tuned for the upcoming Apple event this Oct. 22, so stay tuned.
What are your expectations for the new generation iPads? Will you be picking up one when they finally do come out?
