iPad i0S 7.0.2 update available

October 5, 2013

As with every iPhone iOS update, there is usually an iPad update available. At this point, the most current software available for your iPad is iOS 7.0.2. If you missed the first update, iOS 7.0, it's fine. You can jump straight to Apple’s most current software.

The process is pretty much the same as it is for the iPhone. Check your Settings icon. If you see a red number one in the corner, you probably need to update. iOS 7.0.2 will bring you up to speed, and also correct the bugs related to the Lock Screen Passcode.

When you begin the process, tapping the Settings icon on your iPad desktop, you will notice a hyper-link. Click this for additional information.

Then tap Install Now > Agree, at the bottom of the conditions/agreement window > wait for your information to be verified and updated > wait for your iPad to shut down and reboot > wait as the indication bar moves across the window to show how much time is left to complete the update.

When your screen turns white, and you see greetings in many languages, you are just about finished. Use the Slide Function at the bottom of the screen to Continue > follow the prompts to set up your options.

Check your Bluetooth, as mine was shut down in the update process, and reset any hardware connections such as, wireless keyboards and printers.

The whole process should take about thirty minutes, and will give your iPad a whole new look which includes multiple updated functions. For additional information regarding iOS 7, please click the following link: http://www.apple.com/ios/

Stay tuned as the Apple rumor mill churns. There is supposed to be an additional update available, next week, for your Apple devices. As you probably know, I always recommend updating to the latest software available to prevent glitches in applications and the possibility of your iPad/iPhone crashing; and, no . . . no one in my family has updated their devices yet. I guess they’re waiting for me to do it for them . . . again.

iPads and iPhones can be purchased at the Apple Store, Westfarms Mall, Farmington, CT, and your local Best Buy (Simsbury and Newington). These devices can also be purchased through ATT, Verizon, and T Mobile.
