Three members of this year’s Iowa football team will play in one more college football game when James Ferentz, Micah Hyde and Keenan Davis all take part in the East-West Shrine Game.
The three seniors will play at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and game time is set for 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19. The contest will be televised by the NFL Network.
Ferentz is an Iowa City native who started all 38 games over the past three seasons. He was a second-team all-Big Ten selection this past season and shared MVP honors with Hyde.
Hyde also started all 38 games over the past three seasons and was named Big Ten’s Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year this past season. He had 18 career interceptions and 240 career tackles.
Davis another Iowa native as he played his prep years at Cedar Rapids Washington. He ended his Iowa career with 112 receptions, 1,470 yards and seven scores. He is tied for 14th in career receptions and ranks 19th in receiving yards. He totaled 47 catches, 571 yards and a touchdown in 2012.
