Iowa Energy get two wins over the weekend in NBA D-League action

The Iowa Energy picked up two victories this weekend improving their record to 29-6.  They beat the Idaho Stampede 124-95 and outlasted the Utah Flash 126-112.

Balance was the driving force in the victories for the Energy.  Seven players scored in double figures Friday and eight players did on Saturday.

Efficient shooting contributed as well.  The Energy shot 50 percent from two point range and 47 percent from three point range against the Stampede.  That was mild compared to Saturday evening against the Flash where they shot 58 percent from two point range and 47 percent from three point range.

Defense wasn't going to take a back seat to the offense however.  The Energy forced 42 turnovers for the weekend.   They also held the Stampede and Flash to 31 and 36 percent from behind the arc.

Next up for the Energy will be the Reno Bighorns.  The game is at 7 pm this Tuesday, February 23 at Wells Fargo arena.
