Attention NBA D-League: The Iowa Energy basketball team is good.

Tuesday, February 16 proved to be business as usual for the Energy.  They got past the Los Angeles D-Fenders 112-95.  This improves their record to 27-6.

The Energy had plenty of standout performances.  Point guard Curtis Stinson had a phenomenal night, ending with 19 assists.  Say again? Yes 19 assists.  Oh yeah, he also had 16 points to go along with it, completing the double-double.  Oh one more thing; he snagged 8 rebounds.  Two more and he would have recorded a triple-double.

Cartier Martin added 20 points and shot a warm 53 percent from the field, respectively.  Courtney Sims had a dominate night in the post.  He ended with 30 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 68 percent from the field.  Adding to the impressiveness was the fact he compiled these numbers in only 28 minutes of action. (Full game is 48 minutes).

Last but not least was Mark Tyndale.  He contributed 16 points towards the victory and shot a red hot 75 percent from the field.  The Energy as a team shot 49 percent from two point range and 33 percent from three point range.  The let-down from behind the arc proved to be a non-factor considering 96 of the 111 field attempts were from two point range.

Defense again was also a major factor in the victory for the Energy.  They forced 19 turnovers on the night and held the D-Fenders to 43 percent shooting from the field.

Next up for the Energy will be the Idaho Stampede this Friday, February 19th.  The game is at Idaho starting at 8 pm.
