Iowa Basketball: Bluder can replace Printy with IC West star Disterhoft

The Iowa women’s basketball team will lose four-year starter Jaime Printy this offseason, but coach Lisa Bluder may have found her replacement.

Incoming freshman Ally Disterhoft of Iowa City West High School was recently named Miss Iowa Basketball by the Iowa Newspaper Association and also earned the Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year.

Disterhoft, who guided the Women of Troy to the state title as a junior and then took a young team back to state this past season, averaged 26.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals as a senior this year.

She is an ESPN HoopGurlz top 100 recruit and has earned numerous first team all-state honors in her high school career. She also holds multiple Iowa City West school records and also is a standout track and field athlete.

Aside from that, Disterhoft excels in the classroom, holding down a 4.0 grade point average and has been awarded distinct admission into the Tippie College of Business for academic achievement.
