Some iPhone users are risking the loss of jailbreak with the post beta, pre-release iOS 7 Golden Master (GM) download to get a sample of some of the new features of iOS 7. Losing jailbreak on the iPhone may just be worth it for some photo enthusiasts.
One of the noted revisions in the iOS 7 changelog is a feature called camera burst mode which enables fast, continuous photo snapping. As iDownloadBlog reported Sunday (Sept. 15), the camera burst feature found in the iOS 7 GM download is confirmed to work on iPhone 5, iPhone 4s, iPhone 4, iPod touch 5th generation, and iPad 3. Camera burst mode is enabled when the user holds down the device’s shutter icon. This capability is sure to come in handy in instances of photographing moving subjects. “It’s also worth noting that the feature does not offer true continuous burst mode at 10 pictures per second as the one you’ll find on the iPhone 5s,” the website said.
The iOS 7 GM build was released to app developers last week and is expected to be the last release before the official iOS 7 download goes public Wednesday, September 18. Apple’s scheduled release date of the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S is Friday, September 20. Pre-orders for the iPhone 5C, available in color schemes of white, pink, yellow, blue and green went live Friday, September 13.
