iOS 7 download problems have some Apple users very aggravated. On Sept. 20, Telegraph UK reported that Apple servers have been having a hard time keeping up with the influx of downloads since the new technology release earlier this week. People have been getting error messages, freezing screens, and even super long download times (like 12 hours).
"In many cases, users reported that the update stopped half way through and they were met with an error message saying: 'Software Update Failed.' Others said they could connect to the iTunes Store to update apps," reported the Telegraph UK.
iOS 7 download problems have been different for different people. Many users updated within the first 24 hours of the software release and experienced no errors of glitches at all. For many, clicking update resulted in a successful upgrade that was completed in about 30 minutes.
Some people suspected that Apple was struggling to keep up with the incredible amounts of downloads but the company says that's not the case. The issue for most people is the size of the download. Before updating your phone, you should ensure that you have enough space for the download which is about 3 GB.
To avoid iOS 7 download problems the best you can, make sure you are connected to wi-fi and that your cell phone is plugged in. This may not guarantee a flawless download but it could help.
