The iOS 7 download error messages and lengthy time issues that have plagued many Apple iPhone 5 and other device owners since Wednesday may have at least one "quick" fix. A recent report from one source has provided details on one way to possibly avoid the long download time or errors that pop up when attempting to install the new mobile operating system over a wireless connection.
A Sept. 20 report from Inquisitr.com suggests that users simply connect their iPhone to their computers and then launch the iTunes program. From there, users can select a software update for their device in iTunes, and then download it over their broadband connection. This may provide a more stable download and install experience. If not, the only other option is to wait it out and keep trying to get the install to work wirelessly on the device. The new software was first unveiled about mid-day on Wednesday, Sept. 18 and due to the flooding of traffic going to the Apple internet servers for the new software download, it appeared to be more than they could handle at once.
The software upgrade known as iOS 7 was first announced several months ago, as something Apple would release in conjunction with their new iPhone 5S and 5C models. The iOS 7 upgrade features a brand new visual interface complete with more vivid and vibrant colors. In addition, Apple refined some of the features including the search area, the camera app and the ability to multitask between apps. They also added in new features such as iTunes Radio and Control Center for even more functionality from the newer iPhones and iPads. In addition, many apps have also upgraded their look and feel to work in conjunction with the new iOS.
