Well, it seems it was just yesterday. Weren't we all clamoring to update our iPhones to Apple's latest iOS software? Ummm, yes, it was. There is, however, a new update already available, iOS 7.0.2.
What did Apple miss besides the glitch in the maps app? Apparently there are problems with the security regarding your lock screen passcode, including the Greek keyboard option for this function.
As you begin to update your iPhone to iOS 7.0.2, you'll see a hyper-link. Click this for additional information regarding this issue.
So, besides fixing the bugs mentioned, it's always prudent to update your iPhone to the latest iOS to keep your apps running properly, and to keep your iPhone from eventually shutting down.
If you see a small, red “number 1" in the corner of the Settings icon on your iPhone, you probably need to install the latest iOS.
It's pretty strait-forward. Tap the Settings icon > tap the Install Now window > tap the Agree tab at the bottom of the page > wait for your information to be verified > allow our iPhone to shut down and reboot > watch the little black line under the apple as it indicates how long it has left to complete the process. This took less than ten minutes.
Not everyone uses the lock screen passcode, but since this is a security issue, and it is important to keep your iPhone running smoothly, I'd suggest completing the update.
For those who haven't updated to iOS 7.0, you might want to take the time; it offers a lot of new features. For more information regarding Apple's latest iOS please use the following link: http://www.apple.com/ios/
