Invicta FC standout striker Jasminka "Impressive" Cive is one of the most dangerous females on Earth, but she said on March 4 in an exclusive interview with Long Island MMA Examiner Eric Holden that she still loves her childhood teddy bear.
At the tender age of 31, Cive still brings her childhood teddy to all of her cage fights because she feels it brings her love and good luck. The MMA community may be shocked by such news, as it's not exactly what you'd expect from someone who punches people in the face for a living.
Cive said she grew up with the bear by her side, and it still brings her comfort and relaxation even though she's well into her early-30s.
"I keep him hidden in my bag," Cive said of the bear, which she named Bronco. "It's for good luck and for love. I always had him with me as a child and now also for my fights. He's my first teddy."
Before we let out a collective "aww," let's remember that Cive proceeds to smash faces and choke people after snuggling up with her cute teddy.
Bronco might be the perfect good luck charm, as it's clear he's doing something right. Cive is riding a five-fight win streak heading into her Invicta FC 5 bout against Aussie legend Bec Hyatt.
Cive, a 5-foot-6 striker from Austria, makes her Invicta FC debut on Apr. 5 at the Ameristar Casino Hotel, and Bronco the bear will definitely be by her side for the fight.
"Bronco is his name in Englisch. In Serbian we write Braonko, but its the same," Cive said of the bear.
