According to a Dec. 31 report from MMA Fighting, Aussie MMA strawweight contender Bec Hyatt is stepping in for Claudia Gadelha to fight Carla Esparza on Jan. 5 at Invicta FC 4.
Hyatt's original opponent Joanne Calderwood will now draw Livia von Plettenberg on the Invicta FC 4 undercard. It will be Hyatt's U.S. debut.

The upcoming Invicta Fighting Championships 4 event will be the all-female MMA promotion's first pay-per-view (PPV), and the card is stacked from top-to-bottom with elite talent.
Besides Hyatt vs Esparza in the headlining slot, Shayna Baszler fights Alexis Davis in a key bantamweight bout with serious title implications. Many expect the winner of Baszler vs Davis to get the next shot at Ronda Rousey after Liz Carmouche, or at the very least, earn an Invicta FC title shot.
The Invicta FC 4 main card also features Leslie Smith against Raquel Pennington, plus Amanda Nunes vs Sarah D'Alelio.
