Last, but not Least - notes from my Sentiment blog:

http://mktsentiment.blogspot.com/

In a recent Barron's Other Voices editorial, the author - Walter Weil - commented that the Investors' Intelligence Bull/Bear was not an effective Indicator - as I replied by email, he only used it on a long term basis. His citing (sighting?) of several dates where the Bull was over 60% saw higher markets a year later, failed to note that each time the S&P dropped shortly after the peak - EVERY TIME. I still prefer the AAII Indicator, but use many combined stats for confirmation. The Investors Intelligence BEARS sank to a low of 15.1, while the Bulls rose to 54.6% - quite a spread!

Last week's notable Indicators saw New Highs inmost Indices, as well as my cumulative NYSE Advance/Decline, commercial Gold short selling (??), as well as lofty numbers for speculative Volume (NASD to NYSE), Insider selling - Board/Officers as well as 10% stakeholders, and the McClellan Summation surpassing 1,000 to the upside (see blog).
