Fire in the hole!!!!
We recently received an e-mail from Jeff Lopez, the founder and CEO of GLOOB Marketing and obviously an avid reader of Examiner.com's music section, about MC/actor Nick Cannon's new protege, Anjali Ranadive, a singer signed to his Ncredible Entertainment label and apparently a client of GLOOB. Jeff Lopez e-mailed the following:
"Thanks for sharing your email! I would like to introduce to you Anjali Ranadive, a young Indian-American singer/songwriter signed to Nick Cannon’s label ‘Ncredible Entertainment’. On [May 20], Anjali represented the Sacramento Kings on behalf of her father, Sacramento Kings Owner Vivek Ranadive at the NBA Draft Lottery at the Times Square Studio in New York. Most recently, Anjali released her first single “We Turn Up” ft. French Montana. The track allowed Anjali to embrace her Indian heritage by incorporating modern Bollywood sounds with R&B/Pop melodies. She is currently working with production duo Astroknotts on her first debut solo album, which is to be released in 2014. Aside from singing, Anjali also has a passion for the ocean as she co-founded a non-profit for endangered species known as Jaws & Paws, which aims to raise awareness and conservation tactics for protecting the environment. Hope you consider for coverage on Examiner.com. Thank you!"
Anjali, 20, is one of Vivek Ranadive's three children, the other two being brothers Aneel and Andre, according to Wikipedia. She has stolen the show at various Kings games, once even singing the national anthem at home. She and Mallory Edens (the 18-year-old daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wesley Edens) helped their fathers get a bit of luck at this year's NBA Draft Lottery on May 20 in New York. The Bucks got the Number 2 pick, while the Kings got Number 8. The Cleveland Cavaliers got Number 1.
We expect Anjali do wonders for the music scene.
Cannon founded Ncredible in 2009, which has also Cory Gunz, NewBoyz and 4 Count among the many acts in the label's growing roster. Ncredible also produces "Wild'N'Out" for MTV2 and TeenNick's "The Nightlife", a dance show.
Lopez's GLOOB Marketing is based in the US and the United Arab Emirates and has many well-known clients, including Universal Music Group and its Interscope Records subsidiary, Sony Music Entertainment's RCA Records, the United Nations. Lucasfilm Ltd., and Nickelodeon (where Cannon, ironically, got his start, appearing in the sketch comedy series "All That" in the late 1990's before getting a short lived series of his own, "The Nick Cannon Show").
Columbia, SC, welcome Anjali with open arms.
Anjali is sure to be a direct hit for Nick Cannon's label...... and not Cannon fodder.
