Dr. Laura Wallach is one of five Associate Veterinarians practicing their art at the Danada Veterinary Hospital in Wheaton, Illinois. This petite woman is packed with so much love for animals that the pets that are lucky enough to come under her care instantly feel better just being in her presence.
Dr. Wallach attended the University of Illinois’s veterinary school – a very, very prestigious vet school to say the least! She graduated from the program in 1994 and has been practicing at Danada Vets for the past 17 years, since she accepted the position in 1996.
Along with her five colleagues, Wallach also serves beside Dr. Keith Berley, the Chief of Medicine at Danada and Dr. Helen Dane, the progressive owner and veterinarian of the practice. The team of seven is unstoppable and together, they will do whatever possible to create health and well-being in your pet’s lives.
Last Friday, Quantum Leap (Q to his friends) was feeling lousy, vomiting, diarrhea and bloody mucus coming out with his stool. He was fatigued and lingering much too long on his doggie pillow. He was able to get in during the extended Friday night hours at Danada Vets and was blessed to have been seen by Dr. Wallach.
Instantly his tail wagged and he had found a friend! It is no wonder that her bio reads that her favorite part of her job is helping people to do what’s best for them and their pets. Dr. Laura was only interested in returning Q to his original playful, loving self – not looking to reap the benefits from long, drawn-out procedures or expensive tests that many others may have suggested to line their pockets. No, she inserted a saline solution in his back (he looked quite a bit like a hunchback for an hour) and gave him antibiotics to help with the infection. A couple of days later, his stomach was still grumbly, but he was no longer getting ill and all traces of blood were erased.
Getting instant service like this is what animal lovers require. Individuals that go to Danada Veterinary Hospital get just that. Whether it is from Dr. Laura Wallach or any one of the other six highly-qualified veterinarians, animals are treated with kindness, love and respect and feel better when they are treatable.
In a world where everything publicized seems to draw a negative connotation about it, it is good to hear about the good in people and what they have to offer others – including animal-kind. Keep in mind that Danada Vets are there to help you, not the other way around!
