Phillip H. Anselmo can be a man of many, or few, words. But make no mistake. Whether you agree with him or not, Anselmo is nothing if not candid and honest.

The lead singer of Down, whose presence in Pantera starting in 1987 helped the legendary Texas band pave a brutal wave of fury and influence across the heavy metal landscape for nearly 15 years, was that and more as he sat down with the San Antonio Metal Music Examiner for an exclusive 3-part interview on the tour bus before Down kicked off its U.S. tour Thursday night at Backstage Live.
