A third round selection in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, May hit .500 (14-28) with two doubles, a triple, a home run, four RBI and five stolen bases in seven games during the week of August 19-25. He also had an on-base percentage of .531 with a .750 slugging percentage.
The 21 year old Coastal Carolina alum began his professional career with the Great Falls Voyagers in the Advanced Rookie Pioneer League hitting a robust .378 (17-45) with seven RBI, a double, a triple and five stolen bases in 12 games. That earned May a promotion to the Intimidators where he found his power stroke belting seven homers and driving in 24 runs in 47 contests.
He is currently on a 13 game hit streak.
May hails from Liberty Township, Ohio and was originally a 39th round pick by the Reds in 2010, but chose Coastal Carolina instead where he was named second team All-Big South in 2013, leading the Chanticleers in batting (.324), hits (70), triples (2), home runs (7), slugging percentage (.495), sacrifice bunts (15) and stolen bases (16) while ranking second on the team in runs scored (42), doubles (12), RBI (31) and on-base percentage (.417).
