This workshop is all about interviewing and how to create the best and most effective image of yourself during this critical phase of the hiring process. It presumes you have drafted at least one current resume (bring 10 copies with you), have prepared answers to the types of questions typically asked in employment interviews, and are ready to refine these answers into a more effective self-presentation.

The intent of this workshop is all about the interview and how to succeed in this very important part of the job search process. The intent of the afternoon is to provide honest, practical and direct feedback. What are you doing right? What are you doing wrong? What must you do to fix it?

The workshop will consist of two sessions. The first session will include a brief overview where panelists will offer their expertise and perspective on the interview process. During the second session, attendees will break out into small groups (6 – 10 attendees), led by an interviewer. Each attendee will practice their interview skills and receive 1:1 feedback. Each interviewee will receive personal critiques by the recruiter, who will provide candid feedback and coaching.. Attendees may select either a “candidate” or an “observer” ticket to participate in the workshop.

Whether you’ve had one interview or dozens, you probably ask yourself the following questions. What did the recruiters and hiring managers think of me’? Why did I or didn’t I make the cut? How can I improve my odds next time? Come find out!

Note: If you have a financial hardship that impacts your ability to pay for this event, a limited amount of scholarship funding might be used to let you register online. Please email pam@csix.org for more information.
