Tim, a former web designer and SEO consultant, has been investigating ghosts and hauntings up and down the east coast for almost 8 years. Today, he enjoys guiding Ghost City Tours down the path of success. Most days you can find him behind the computer or answering the phone. He is one of the few owners of their tour company that actual spends time each day answering phone calls, getting to really understand his guests and what they are looking for in a ghost tour.

What got you into the Paranormal?
When I was younger I remember hearing stories from my mom about the house I grew up in. Things flying off of the shelves and hearing crying. I never experienced any of this, as far as I know, but the stories about the ghosts stuck with me. As an adult I spent many years investigating the ghosts and hauntings of Gettysburg Pennsylvania. The signs of ghosts we found were incredible. When you start to realize that there really is something to ghosts and hauntings it becomes very addictive.
What aspect of living in a haunted city like Savannah do you like the most?
Well, everything is haunted! Or at least it can certainly seem like that at times. To narrow it down to one thing would be hard. First, I love my tour company. Being able to interact with people who share a common interest in the ghosts here in Savannah is great. It is almost always a highlight of my work day. I also like the fact that when it comes to ghost hunting and paranormal investigating, Savannah has more places than anywhere I have ever lived. We just got finished investigating a number of high profile locations here in Savannah. It seems like we could investigate a new place every week and it would take forever to run out of places to hunt these ghosts in. Living in a city which attracts soo many like-minded people is also a big plus of being in Savannah. There are many people in this town who are also very interested in the paranormal. Many of these people are owners and employees of other ghost tour companies here in Savannah. When they are not taking jabs at you online they can be quite tolerable and interesting people to associate with!
What is the craziest ghost encounter you have had in Savannah?
I could name a few encounters to tell you about. The one that stands out in my mind happened at a cemetery just south of town. There are many stories surrounding this cemetery. Most of them involve the ghosts of slaves which helped (supposedly) build the wall surrounding the cemetery. I went there a few months back with a couple of friends and seriously had the creeps. Now, I am a guy who has been doing this for a long time. Being in a haunted place in the dark doesn't bother me, at all. So, when I get creeped out I know something is wrong. Well nothing happened that night, but I went back a few weeks ago. I went right to the back part of the cemetery when I was getting those weird feelings. Within 5 minutes I had something grab my upper arm. It was a hard grab too. I have been touched before while on an investigation but never before had I actually had something that felt just like a hand grabbing me. Once I got home I was listening to my EVP recordings and right before that happened I have a voice saying "You need to leave". I have had much crazier things happened elsewhere, but that is certainly the most startling experience I have had while looking for ghosts here in Savannah
Why did you start Ghost City Tours?
So I could get access to the haunted places here in Savannah that I couldn't get access to otherwise! Ha, well that is part of the reason. I met two guys here in Savannah who were already Ghost Tour guides. They were both good ghost tour guides but horrible at business, by their own admission. Well, I have a very extensive background in business. I have been a web designer and online marketer for close to 10 years. I got to thinking that if we teamed up we would make one hell of a ghost tour company here in Savannah...and we did. Ghost City Tours is now certainly in the top three companies in Savannah exclusively giving ghost tours.
What do you like the most about running Ghost City Tours?
I do really enjoy interacting with our guests. I don't do any of the tours (yet) so my interaction usually comes over the phone or when I join a tour. I enjoy popping in towards the end of the tours and asking our guests what they liked and what they thought could be better. I absolutely believe that satisfying our guests is my ultimate goal. I want Ghost City Tours to be known as the best ghost tour company in Savannah, and we are well on our way there.
What are you looking forward to most in 2013? Anything new planned for Ghost City Tours?
Well, most of what we are up to is kept secret. As the most active company on line we have many ghost tour companies here in Savannah who copy our every move online. I make the joke that if you missed an article on our website today you can catch a version of it on our competitors' website in the following days. In 2013 we will keep pushing the boundaries of what a great ghost tour in Savannah is. Over the winter I have been doing a lot of research about many of the commonly visited haunted locations on the tours. We have uncovered a lot of information that will leave the information other companies are telling in the dust. It is very important to me that Ghost City Tours keeps the tours as factual as possible. I am also working with owners of a few other tour companies here in Savannah to develop some top notch multimedia. The stuff we are producing is really going to help put Savannah back on the map as America's most Haunted City.
