MT: Tell us a little about your company.
SY: Our company is Expeditious Retreat Press, an award-winning small press that produces products for tabletop role-playing games. My husband and I started the company in 2003 with A Magical Medieval Society: Western Europe and to date have over 45 products in hobby and game stores internationally.
MT: Expeditious Retreat Press was recently nominated for Best Adventure in the 2009 Gen Con EN World Awards for Lands of Darkness #1: The Barrow Grounds, the first title in a series of products tailored for use with the 4th Edition of Dungeons & Dragons. How is Lands of Darkness different from other adventures?
SY: Lands of Darkness is ideal for any gamemaster that is running a 4th Edition D&D game. Lands of Darkness takes a different approach to adventures, presenting a self-contained location that GMs can easily drop into their pre-existing campaigns and further expand as needed. Mechanically, its utility is greatly increased as each encounter is tailored for multiple levels. You can find out more about our 4e products at http://www.xrpshop.citymax.com/4E.html.
