Continued from part one
Just in time for Halloween comes the new HUB Network series ‘Spooksville’ which co-stars young star Morgan Taylor Campbell. I had the chance to get to know Morgan and share her interests and latest projects with her fans. This Alberta born actress calls Vancouver, BC home. A fan of singing and reading, Morgan has added piano playing to her passions. Halloween is one of her favorite times of the year and loves pumpkin carving and creative costumes.
Q. Can you talk about any other upcoming projects with your fans?
A. I'm currently working on the play 'Frankenstein' by Victor Gialanella which is adapted from Mary Shelley's (mind blowing) novel. I'm playing Justine Moritz, the maidservant who gets accused of murder. I just love theatre and plan to keep doing it alongside film and TV work.
Q. I read that you play the piano. I tried and never had the patience to practice. Do you play it often? Do you have other creative outlets?
A. Hahaha patience indeed! I just started taking lessons over the summer while we were filming ‘Spooksville’, so my coordination still isn't the best, but I'm really enjoying it. Other than piano, I love to sing and read. My favorite book at the moment is J. D. Salinger's 'Franny and Zooey.' Lately I've also started writing and am discovering how to write poems.
Q. Halloween is such a fun time of year. Do you have any memories from over the years that stand out for you?
A. Well, Halloween is one of my favorite times of year, so there are a ton of things that make it special for me. Pumpkin carving has always been fun, although mine never seem to turn out quite as good as planned. Trick or Treating is always the highlight of my Halloweens, except when our Canadian winters make it icy and snowy and then everyone is just so bundled up you have no idea what they are even supposed to be! Oh! One year I went as Catwoman dressed as Batman dressed as a pumpkin, which made no sense but it was awesome all the same.
