Just in time for Halloween comes the new HUB Network series ‘Spooksville’ which co-stars young star Morgan Taylor Campbell. Known for her roles in Disney XD's ‘Mr. Young’ and AMC's ‘The Killing,’ she has her first starring role. I had the chance to get to know Morgan and share her interests and latest projects with her fans. Besides being completely adorable, she is a very talented young actress with a bright future ahead.
Q. What can you tell your fans about your role as Ann Templeton in the new series ‘Spooksville?’ Being the heiress who lives in a stone mansion sounds both lonely and cool at the same time.
A. Ann has been forced to live in the shadow of her ancestor, Madeline Templeton, who was accused of witchery and put to death three hundred years ago. For Ann, this means she has to struggle to gain the trust of Adam, Watch and Sally who all have suspicions that she is an evil witch. And when you combine that with living in a stone mansion with her servant as her only guardian, I'd say loneliness is one of the biggest obstacles Ann faces. But, for me it is what makes her so interesting. She often is put face to face with many difficult decisions and has to choose whose side she is going to fight for. Her battle between right and wrong calls for oh so many unforeseen predicaments and incredible adventures!
Q. What was like to film ‘No Men Beyond This Point?’
A.’ No Men Beyond This Point’ was a blast! I've never done a mockumentary before and it's such a cool style of film. It was really fun getting to explore this alternate version of society where men are going extinct. The writer/director, Mark Sawers has a fascinating take on what a world without men would look like and ultimately how important both genders are to a functioning society. He is very meticulous in his directing, which I really appreciated about working with him. And to top it off, we got to do some improvisation in the scenes and I really dug the wardrobe I got to wear!
