Interview with Michael Tasner - Author of Marketing in the Moment

Occasionally, someone crosses our path who is so extraordinary that it alters the way we view the world. I recently had the opportunity to review the new book, Marketing in the Moment, The Practical Guide to Using Web 3.0 Marketing to Reach Your Customers First, by Michael Tasner. After reading his book, I was so impressed that I requested an interview with Mr. Tasner.

Michael Tasner possesses an energy and outlook that is unlike any I’ve observed. At the age of fifteen, Michael launched his first company. His first company focused on providing web design services. He has since amassed a level of expertise that is highly sought after by companies all over the world.

Today, at the age of twenty-six, Michael is an entrepreneur, author, speaker and charity proponent. Yes, I said twenty-six. Michael speaks at Twitter conferences and cutting edge companies, such as Zappos, avidly seek his business guidance.

What is most impressive about Michael is his desire to help businesses and people enjoy what they do. The last chapter of Marketing in the Moment is entitled, The Art of Giving Back. It details the value of benevolence and lists his favorite charities. He is passionate about giving back and makes charitable giving a focal point in his life. This certainly flies in the face of those who claim the Millenial generations are ego-centric and only concerned about themselves.

I was Intrigued by Michael Tasner before I actually interviewed him.  However, after my interview with him, I was inspired. Expecting a whiz-kid ego with less than effective communication skills, I could not have been more incorrect. Not only is Michael articulate and warm, with an easy style that brings you into his world, he is sincerely interested in helping people.

Even though Michael launched a successful business at the age of fifteen, he honored his parent’s wishes by obtaining a college degree in entrepreneurialism. He lives in the same town he grew up in and is happily married with one-year old twins. He is devoted to balancing between his very busy work life and his first priority, his family. Michael is best summed up by the way he closes his book, “From the heart, Michael Tasner”.
