The interview with Lindsey McMurren-Riggs continued.
Q5: What made you want to become a photographer?- I spent 10 years climbing the ladder in corporate America, and was never satisfied with my job. I always wanted to go home and work on my pictures. My day job was just that - a day job, so I decided it was time that my job was something I looked forward to each day and it was just obvious to me that I take my part-time hobby/passion to a full time career. It had been years since I had taken photography courses in college, and my dark room work was obsolete, so I took brush up courses on digital photography, did a lot of free work, then opened my business officially!
Q6: How long have you been a photographer?- I have only been shooting professionally for a couple of years, but I started photography classes in high school and continued into college, well before I started my first career in corporate America. I would say that I was an advanced amateur before doing my first client shoots (for free), then opening my business.
Q7: What other work do you do besides pet photography?- My main business actually comes from weddings. I also do family portraits and other types of photography as clients request.
Q8: How much do you enjoy your work?- I LOVE my work. It is both fun and rewarding and I love providing the client with that perfect shot representing the essence of their beloved pet, their magical wedding day, their happy, playful children or any other memory captured for a moment in time.
