Q. Helix sounds like a very scary “X-Files type” thriller that will definitely put people on edge. What can you tell my readers about your experience so far on the set?
A. I just wrapped season one and it was an incredible experience. The cast and crew were all wonderful to work with. My role is both emotionally and physically demanding. There were a lot of really intense days and my character has a fair amount of action. But through all of that we all had a blast shooting. I had many laugh attacks on set. Somehow we managed to create a positive, fun environment while making this dark psychological thriller.
Q. You’re a part of the “Supernatural Fandom Family” with your role as Randa Moreno in last the episode Heartache. Can you tell my readers anything about your experience on the set?
A. ‘Supernatural' was one of my favorite experiences on set. Jensen Ackles was also the director in my episode. I was blown away by how well he juggled performing and directing at the same time. He’s incredibly articulate about what he wants in the scene. I love the technical side of working in film/TV and he gave me a lot of freedom to move through my scenes so I often felt like I was in choreography with the camera operators. It was so fun. My biggest challenge on that one was the variety of crazy high heels I wore!
Q. What can you share about your role as Carla Frye in the upcoming horror film ‘Toxin’?
A. Carla Frye is an outdoorsy girl next door. As the story unfolds we discover that she learned how to handle herself from her father who was a Navy Seal.
Q. Where in Colorado were you raised? What do you miss about this beautiful state now that you travel often?
A. When I was young I grew up outside of Glenwood Springs. I lived in Canon City from the 6th grade through high school. I love Colorado. I miss the river, the thunder and rainstorms in the summer, the stars, and the jagged edge Rocky Mountains. And of course… the Denver Broncos.
Q. Your fans would love to know if you have any hidden talents.
A. I’m pretty awesome at hula hooping.
Q. I'm going to end with what's become my signature question. If you were a baseball player, what would your walk up song be?
A. I didn’t know baseball players had walk up songs! But if I were an MMA fighter it would be Hit Me With Your Best Shot.
