The Dead Daisies are a blended cocktail with equal parts sex, fury, and mayhem. Working with a collective total of more than 100 years of experience, The Dead Daisies are a new creation by frontman Jon Stevens (Noiseworks, INXS), featuring a host of seasoned musicians from band you probably already know including lead guitarist Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses, Thin Lizzy), rhythm guitarist David Lowy (Mink), bassist Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent, Whitesnake), drummer Frank Ferrer (Guns N' Roses) and keyboardist Dizzy Reed (Guns N' Roses).
In talking with Jon and Marco, we learned the history behind The Dead Daisies and the individual paths both musicians took, including going as far back as each of their childhoods. We talked a bit about the appearance of SLASH on the hit single 'Lock n' Load", and how their lives have transformed through the power of music.
The Dead Daisies finished up their tour headlining the ColdCock Herbal Whisky stage on the Uproar Music festival alongside a dozen or so other bands middle of September and will be taking some time off before heading across the pond to rock the UK alongside Black Star Riders.
If you are a fan of classic rock, or rock in general you should definitely keep an ear out for this band.
