ABOUT SHOPPING FOR A LIGHTER CROSS

Everyone has life’s challenges and can face them with fear or with trust. I choose to look at them as experiences where God blessed me with His curve balls thrown in. These curve balls are not the negative, painful or abusive life experiences that I have lived through, but rather the unexpected, blessings, gifts, and graces God threw in to help me through the experiences. I believe that these curve balls were given so that I can witness to His great and awesome presence in and through the experiences, the people in those experiences and in myself as living through and surviving the experiences as a better, not bitter human being.

How did you come up with the title of your book?

As I considered writing the book, I wanted to have a title that people could relate to as well as lead them into wanting to read the book.

What is your writing environment like?

I write in my study, where it is quiet and there are no disruptions.

What are some of the best tools available today for writers?

The computer, the use of the internet for research and gathering of information, personal insight, personal journals and other’s opinions/insights.

What inspires you to write?

God inspired to write this book so as to witness to His great love and presence in my life as well as to share my story so as to help another who is also struggling to find healing and hope in the midst of life’s struggles and painful experiences.

Did you learn anything while writing this book?

I learned how far I have come on my journey of hope, personal healing and wholeness. I also learned how blessed I am and how I continue to share my blessings through my spirit of positive thinking, compassion and joyfulness.

What is your favorite quality about yourself?

My sense of compassion and concern for others.
