Thank you for this interview, Sunayna. Can you tell us a little about yourself and how long you’ve been writing?
I am a college junior and have been writing for over thirteen years.
Can you tell us briefly what your book is about?
A girl is kidnapped to the Fiji Islands and can’t return unless she faces and overcomes a bunch of challenges.
Why did you choose your particular genre?
I enjoy fantasy.
What was your greatest challenge writing this book?
Getting the dialogue to sound distinguishing and natural.
Are you published by a traditional house, small press or are you self-published?
Was it the right choice for you?
How are you promoting your book thus far?
I am doing a Goodreads giveaway. I got a lot of people marking my book as to-read.
How is that going for you?
So far, excellent.
Can you tell us one thing you have done that actually resulted in one or more sales?
I got a relative to buy my book, but that was it.
Do you have another job besides writing?
If you could give one book promotion tip to new authors, what would that be?
It may be hard not to focus only on that, but do other things, too.
What’s next for you?
The sequel of this book.
