Kyle Holdsworth: What was your first exposure to the world of Combat Sports?

Jimmy Binns Jr.: My first exposure to the world of Combat Sports would be around the age of 7 or 8. I used to accompany my father while he was representing the WBA (World Boxing Association), as well as different promoters/fighters all over the world.

KH: What was it that made you want to be a manager in the Mixed Martial Arts world?

JBJ: When I started practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, I would hear stories from fighters in the gym where I trained about getting misrepresented by so-called “managers”. When managing fighters you have to have a plan and the proper connections to execute your plan properly. You also have to have a connection to the bigger leagues (Bellator MMA & UFC) for your fighter to make more money.

KH: What does Binns Management have scheduled for the near future?

JBJ: Binns Management has four fighters on the upcoming March 14th CES MMA fight card at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island.

We also have two fighters in the upcoming Season 10 Bellator MMA $100,000 tournaments. 215MMA’s own Will Martinez will be fighting in the Bellator MMA Featherweight tournament at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on February 28th.

Our other client in the tournament is Sam “Sammy O” Oropeza. He will be fighting former UFC title contender and the first ever ‘Fight Master: Bellator MMA’ winner Joe “Diesel” Riggs in the Bellator MMA Welterweight tournament in Hammond, IN on March 14th as well. Both of them Bellator MMA fighters will have their fights air live on Spike TV.

KH: Are there any other projects you’re working on?

JBJ: Another project I’m working on is, I’m opening a store within the next couple of weeks. We will be selling all sorts of 215MMA merchandise including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, and even hats. The store will be open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Mostly we’re just expanding our brand, because of the business relationships I have all over the country and the world. In a couple weeks, I’ll be announcing a Grand Opening party as well that will be taking place in the 215.

KH: Anything you’d like to say to fighters who are currently unsigned, or just would like to further their MMA careers?

JBJ: I’m always looking for new talent and building fighter’s careers. Look at my results, the proof is in the pudding, if you’re serious about your career contact me at JimmyBinnsJr.com
