Tarina Tarantino is a jewelry designer that continues to expand her brand with amazing creations. As her fans are aware, she is a true visionary. Her designs are inimitable, and her fuchsia tresses are legendary. Tarantino has designed some of the most coveted collections of jewelry over the past few years. Collections have featured iconic characters such Alice in Wonderland, Hello Kitty, and Barbie. The designer launched a line of cosmetics in 2010, and it was available exclusive at Sephora stores. The collections of products will now be available via her official website beginning February 7.

In a new interview with Examiner.com, Tarina Tarantino discussed the new launch of her collection of cosmetics, her favorite products, and the new project that she will be revealing to the world.
Katrina-Kasey Wheeler: Tarina Tarantino Beauty became an instant success with your fans and consumers from the moment that it launched and became available at Sephora. You have quite a following of fans that are always thrilled to see your continued success. Were you excited to see the amazing response that the various products have received over the past few years? Also, how does it feel to see your collection of products become available on your official website?
Tarina Tarantino: Launching a beauty brand is challenging because there are so many components, so many moving parts to getting the vision right. You work so hard for so many months with the labs and packaging factories, sweating every tiny detail (and there are thousands of them!). The best part of making the cosmetics available alongside our jewelry collections is that customers can experience everything in one place and we can interact with them directly. My favorite thing is when a stranger on the street stops me and says “Tarina I love your Mascara, I can’t live without it.” It's a great feeling.
KKW: The quality of your beauty products is outstanding. They are truly wonderful. The packaging is beautiful to look at, and is very luxurious. You were a makeup artist in the past, and now that you are a successful designer, and have this incredible collection of cosmetics, what continues to inspire you when you are creating products for the collection?
TT: What I love most about product development and design work is that you can apply an inspiration to almost anything. I design the beauty collections right alongside my jewelry collections so they can tell the same story. A good example is my “Emerald Pretty” eyeshadow palette and jewelry collections that were inspired by the original Wizard Of Oz books.
KKW: Which products from your cosmetics collections would you say are your absolute must-have items?
TT: If I could only choose a few things I would choose these four items to create the perfect pretty day look in minutes; Sparklicity pure shimmer, Fleur de Lash Mascara, Eye Dream Hyperlight and my Dollskin Cheek Palette.
KKW: There is an exceptional array of products in your collection. Can you give the readers/fans a hint as to what they can expect from the upcoming seasonal collections?
TT: Right now we are focused on expanding into our new headquarters, The Sparkle Factory. It’s a gothic revival 1914 antique building in the historic core of downtown Los Angeles. This will include a new retail concept store on the ground floor slated to open later this year. It will also be home to our production company Fuchsia Revolution Productions where we will be producing both film and commercial /video projects.
KKW: You have truly built an empire. You have a successful line of jewelry, and cosmetics. Your boutiques that showcase your creations are inspiring. Apart from the collection of cosmetics, are you working on any other projects, and can you share any details?
TT: Yes! my first book “The Sparkle Factory” will be published in April. It's about how to make and wear fashion jewelry, its like stepping inside the factory and sitting down with me. I have been writing this book for years but kept putting it aside to work on other things. I enjoyed the process so much that I’m already starting the next one!
