Handguns is a pop-punk band from Harrisburg, PA signed to Pure Noise Records. They have toured with bands such as Man Overboard, The Wonder Years, and Forever Came Calling. Handguns have released two EPs, Don't Bite Your Tongue and Anywhere But Home. Their debut full length, Angst, was released on on September 25, 2012 on Pure Noise Records. The band was featured on the Warped Tour this year and Taylor Eby took the time to sit down and do an interview.
How has your time on Warped been?
It's been awesome. We're coming to the tail end of it, and it's been an experience, to say the least. Lots of wild stuff happening. Lots of long drives, being out in the sun all day, being up early, being on a legit schedule; I haven't been on a schedule like this since high school.
Do you have any favorite bands that are on the tour?
Letlive. has been awesome every day; they've just been killing it. Defeater, Man Overboard, The Wonder Years, Forever Came Calling, Set It Off, there's just a plethora of bands.
Handguns just put out a new album Angst, how are you feeling about that?
Yeah, we put that out in September. The reception has been really awesome. People have been either loving it, or hating it. It's had mixed reviews, and that's the kind of reviews we like. We didn't want the whole world to like our record, because that would just be some fake bullshit. It's been really awesome, I'm happy with how the record has been received, and how well it's been doing.
Handguns will be going back into the studio coming up in January to begin the recording process with their new lineup and you can see a little more about that here. Make sure you head over to the band's Bandcamp page to pick up their albums and get ready for more new music and tour dates.
