On Sept. 19, pop music star and Atlantic recording artist Cody Simpson chatted via telephone about his upcoming book "Welcome to Paradise: My Journey," as well as his recent summer concerts that took place in New York City.
A teen sensation, Cody's book includes never-before-seen images, as well as exclusive details about his life on and off stage. As indicated in the "about" section of his official website, Cody's autobiography will be published by HarperCollins and it will be out next month.
On his first book, Cody remarked, "It comes out on Oct. 22 and it will have a lot of stories about me that they many not have heard about me before. I open up about my childhood and my fans will get to know me a little better. There will be a lot of photos in there too which they will love."
Over the last few months, he played a headlining show at Best Buy Theater in New York City and he opened for Justin Bieber as part of his "Believe World Tour" at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. "That was really cool and I really enjoyed that. I always love performing in New York City, especially with the atmosphere in Times Square," Cody said. "The Barclays Center was amazing too. I performed there for the third time and the energy was just great. It was a great experience."
Cody's song "La Da Dee" is going to be featured in the end credits of the Sony Pictures animated film "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2."
