“Downton Abbey” is back with all new episodes beginning Sunday, January 05 as part of “Masterpiece” on PBS. The new season picks up sixth months after the death of Matthew. The entire is house in mourning.
As Ms. Patmore, the head cook in the kitchen on the hit series” Lesley Nicol is at the center of it all, trying to do what’s best for her family both upstairs and downstairs. This season, Mrs. Patmore will have the challenge of keeping the peace in her kitchen when Daisy (Sophie McShera) and Ivy (Cara Theobold) begin a rivalry for Alfred’s (Matt Milne) affections. As Valentine’s Day nears how will the budding romances affect the house?
Upstairs this season, Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael) gets a romance that takes her to London and with Cousin Rose (Lily James) at Downton, trouble is bound to be stirred up. Also Lady Cora's (Elizabeth McGovern) mother Martha (Shirley MacClaine) and brother Harold (Paul Giamatti) visit.
