Intervention - Jennifer: Drugs, alcohol, brain injury tonight 9 PM ET (video preview)

INTERVENTION "JENNIFER."          Credit:  A&E Intervention

"Intervention - Jennifer #102" - New episode of Intervention tonight on A&E!

Jennifer was "very smart, very talented, very beautiful."

She went from scholarships to drinking so much that her grades dropped away and the alcohol pretty much took over.

She thinks that the people around her overreact to her heavy drinking.

Tonight's new episode of Intervention once again centers around alcoholism. "I drink to hang out and have fun and relax and whatever. I don't want to quit..."

"Once an effervescent, beautiful young woman, Jennifer was considered a genius by her teachers and was the pride and joy of her parents.

But at age 17, Jennifer was involved in a car accident that caused a brain injury and kidney damage.

Jennifer survived, but only three days after she left the hospital another family car accident ended in a fatality.

Jennifer turned to drugs and alcohol to cope and now spends her days searching for parties or drinking companions.

Her parents know that only an intervention can save her."

- Jeff VanVonderen is the interventionist.

this young lady makes me mad. I understand this is a disease, but there was absolutely no need for her to be so selfish and so flip to her family and friends in that intervention. she doesnt need help, she needs a good ass kicking.

She's not afraid to die, she has a deathwish people!!, and like angry said she is way overdue for a good reality ass kickin. She's become a 220 lb loose piece of easy a*s, thats gonna perish if she doesn't realize what's important in life.

alcohol is a dangerous drug. It lies to you, and cheats you out of life. I got away from it. I am thankful everyday for confronting my addiction and beating it. But it hurts to see that she doesn't want help. I wanted it, I just had to ask. Once I did, my life started again. I wish she could see how wonderful it can be w/o alcohol and drugs.
