Intervention #111: Kristine, alcoholism, health issues (Feb 15 9/8 c)

Intervention #111 Kristine - alcohol and health issues - Monday February 15 9 PM/E.

Kristine has a blood clot the size of a golf ball in the back of her head and yet she continues drinking.

It's almost like she wants to die. The family around her are terrified that something will happen to her and cannot understand why she would continue to abuse alcohol when she is so ill.

Kristine is hopeless and feels that she may as well continue to drink because "the leukemia" might end up getting her anyway. What's the point of quitting?

For an intervention of a different sort tune in Monday, February 15th at 9 p.m. Eastern for Intervention Kristine.

Official A&E Episode

Description: "Although she has a blood clot in her brain that makes drinking dangerous, Kristine is an alcoholic. But she doesn't believe her condition is a reason to quit because she recently learned that she may have leukemia. Now she figures she may as well keep drinking because the leukemia might kill her anyway. Can an intervention save her--and if she does have a terminal illness, is a successful intervention even an answer?"

Kristine's husband came across so self-centered. I could not believe that he VOLUNTARILY went to Iraq and left his daughter. He wanted a child with Kristine; had a child with Kristine, then leave the child with Kristine because he's mad she drinks. Hello Eric, wasn't she an alcoholic when you met and married her. Grow up Eric and raise your child regardless of whether Kristine can quit drinking. Stop thinking about your own needs and think about your daughters. Put on your big boy pants. She needs a loving parent.
