Jackie's second pregnancy ended in miscarriage and she turned to alcohol to ease her pain. She drinks two bottles of wine a day now and hurts herself by running into the furniture in her home. Her daughter no longer lives with her, and doesn't like to be around her mother when she is drunk.
At one time, Jackie was funny, smart, and beautiful--the total package; but now her life has become a daze of wine-fueled memories. She says she "likes the taste of wine," but her loved ones emphasize that Jackie can't keep drinking to the extent that she does and live.
