Today’s Weather Synopsis…

One additional weak disturbance will rotate around the departing upper level trough today, and may trigger a few scattered showers this afternoon with the heating of the day across eastern areas, but most look to remain dry as high pressure builds in through the weekend. Pleasantly mild conditions and considerable sunshine are expected for Sunday as the high crests overhead.

The workweek will start out very warm, but another cold front will approach the region by late Monday with a period of wet and increasingly humid weather returning into Tuesday as low pressure develops along the front near the region. A few strong thunderstorms are also possible as the region gets into the warm sector of the system. The front will then settle across the mid-Atlantic into mid-week and stall out with high pressure attempting to build in by late Wednesday night into Thursday, allowing drier weather to return but some uncertainty exists at this point in exactly how this will evolve.
