St. Louis – There is a wonderful website called FamilyWatchdog.com that will help you keep your child safe from sexual predators. This website offers a search to anyone looking for sexual predators living in your neighborhoods or near your children’s schools.
“When it comes to protecting your family from sex predators, using the sexual predator mapping tools is only the beginning. Remember these databases only tell you where the convicted and registered sexual offenders are located. There are many more out there that have never been convicted or are not registering. The Internet is becoming an all too common meeting place for predators and victims.”
FamilyWatchdog.com is here for you and your family. This is a tool that should be used in conjunction with your local law enforcement information on sexual predators in the area. FamilyWatchdog.com also offers a solution to the problem of insecure and heavily exploited home computers.
Staying safe online is just as important as staying safe in our towns. FamilyWatchdog.com offers services, education, and products all geared to keeping your family safe online. This service has a minimal start fee and monthly fee that makes the sexual predator search free to you!
Keep your family safe from everything you can. Utilize all the tools that are available for doing this. Simply enter your town name, zip code, or suspected predators name to search the FamilyWatchdog.com site and get instant information regarding the safety of your area.

While I appreciate knowing there are resources, this one is not free. In order to obtain the results of the "free search", an activation fee of $10 is required. Then if you don't read, there is a $4.95 monthly fee from this group.
There are free sites out there, including one run by our own Department of Justice. nsopr.gov
If one wishes to try another free site, other than the individual state registries, try familywatchdog.us which does not charge and gives immediate results.
This article seems more like an advertisement. It should include more information to the reader.
The author might not state the cost of the associated program but she does mention fees.
What a well written article. Thanks for posting this!!!
Could the reporter write another article listing sites which are really free?
What about the site PJFI.org which has a site especially for teens and is part of Perverted Justice, which catches pedophiles attempting to meet minors?
This service is wonderful! It might not be free but I use it for my children online. You will not be dissapointed!! This costs less than a value meal at your local fast food resturant each month. This is great for keeping kids safe online and in your neighborhoods.
I have used this website with lots of success. More people should be talking about this! WONDERFUL article! I hope this will help get others talking about child safety.
